If noted writer of the macabre and occult, H.P. Lovecraft, was a gaming nerd, ‘Lust From Beyond‘ seems like this would be all over his Twitch screenplay. Maybe his handle would be something like ‘ArtsNCrafts666.’ Who knows.

Back in March 2020, there was a Kickstarter dedicated to raising funds for a PC game based on the works of Lovecraft and fellow artist of malevolent mastery, H.R. Giger. The game was funded in under 10 hours for its $15,000 banner. It has since earned $90K, which is comprised of all horny gamers in their parent’s basement. Allegedly.
The description of this avant-garde gaming journey is labeled as “a psychological horror with occult and erotic themes.” Here’s the semi-NSFW trailer. See if you catch what Movie Games is throwing down:
Yeah, nothing quite says wholesome gaming like day-glo genitalia, “Eyes Wide Shut” succubus, and a few rounds of tawdry S&M. You know, just to keep the ol’ heart racing during your PC experience.
The hell?! Whatever happened to Sonic, Donkey Kong, and Pong? Too tepid for this crowd, apparently. (Damn. I sound like my Dad.)
The World of ‘Lust From Beyond’
For those not familiar with the risque franchise, ‘Lust From Beyond’ is a part of the “Lust Universe,” as noted on the official press release. If this is your thing, grab some sanitizer, here are the game features:
- Bold, erotic themes merged into horror convention
- Gameplay from the point of Victor Hollowway, the Seeing One
- World inspired by the works of Lovecraft, Giger, and [Polish painter Zdzislaw] Beksinski
- Exploring a graphically advanced environment, full of interactive terms and ingenious puzzles
- Running from and fighting otherworldly monsters
- Rich sound and music design
To be fully transparent, this game looks like some company just wanted to see what they could get away with creating. All the while, watching bondage porn on tweakers.
The team from Indie studio Movie Games Lunarium is taking that crowdsourced coin to make this hellion centered PC experience. We’re talking disclaimer “don’t try this sexxed-up stuff at home” warnings.
If you trust your in-home spam filter, look up some of these images from ‘Lust From Beyond’. There is even a creature with legs, but the entire torso is…well, see for yourself. (Hey, we said this was NSFW!)

Victor Holloway, an antiquarian, is tormented by visions of a sinister land full of lechery and pain. To learn its secrets, he joins the Cult of Ecstasy, whose members seem to know the answers to his disturbing questions.
Victor learns the cult’s life from within, getting lost in its blasphemous and sexual customs. Pleasures of this world are soon not enough. The cultists, following Victor’s visions, attempt to enter Lusst’ghaa – the Land of Ecstasy beyond the borders of our reality.
Sound interesting? Grab your lotion…eh, desktop and prepare for the inevitable. Hook up into Steam (which the page still isn’t complete), be sure to grab a few facecloths. You will apparently need them, if you know what I’m sayin’. The game releases Sept. 24.
