Fans of DC Comics are eagerly anticipating DC FanDome for news on their favorite movies, comics, and television shows. One movie that have fans waiting forever is Matt Reeves’ The Batman. While we know both Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson are going to make an appearance during the event, we have no idea if a teaser is going to show up with them.
That is, until a Russian (movie) spy found something for the rest of us.
A Russian voice actor, Alexander Gavrilin, posted a leak on his Instagram and then deleted it immediately. What gives this leak credibility is Gavrilin dubs Pattinson in the Russian version of the film. The image features a schedule with the words” Batman Teaser, 30 seconds” (as in The Batman) and “James Gordon” being written in Russian.
The Batman Effect on DC FanDome
What does this mean?
Although the leak was out for only a few seconds, it went viral quickly. Many are speculating a teaser of The Batman will be released at DC FanDome, with a voice over from Commissioner Gordon (Jeffrey Wright).
However, others are thinking it may be similar to the spot Disney released for this year’s Super Bowl. If you don’t remember it, or just want a nice memory, it looked like this:
That Disney+ spot featured everything we are looking forward to seeing: The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki.
Now imagine a new teaser at DC FanDome featuring short clips from upcoming DC movies, such as Wonder Woman 1984, The Suicide Squad, The Flash, Black Adam and The Batman.
The Batman could be one of the signature moments of DC FanDome. We already know James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad will make a appearance, along with Rocksteady’s new ‘Suicide Squad’ game. We also know television shows such as Young Justice, Teen Titans Go, Titans, Doom Patrol, Watchmen, Superman & Lois, and Harley Quinn will make appearances.
I mean, it’s all here:
DC FanDome will be the biggest media event of this year, given the flop that was Comic-Con at Home. So, keep the leaks coming, Russia. There’s an election you have to meddle with in November, so get the leaks out of the way now.
