DC FanDome is gone and we are still reeling over the panels and the footage. And we aren’t the only ones. The Boss Zack Snyder had a pretty big day at the all DC Comics “Comic Con”. That’s where he debuted the trailer to The Snyder Cut of Justice League–with all new footage, I might add.
While nerds clamored and geeks chattered for what Zack Snyder was going to bring to the event, the night clearly belonged to the man in the shadows, Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
The trailer was amazing. It had a heavy noir backdrop with Bruce Wayne throwing down his best Kurt Cobain gone emo impression. In fact, the trailer was so jarring that even the boss himself had to step back and sing its praise.
Zack Snyder…In Motion
Shortly after DC FanDome, the Boss stopped by Reel Anarchy’s podcast, “Reel In Motion.” There, he discussed his trailer. And, maybe that other one which caused him some hyperventilation and a case of delirium.
There he is, Zack Snyder, hanging with these boys talking shop. That’s when one of the hosts suggested The Batman could be the next R-rated CBM out there. Of course, Zack Snyder doesn’t know anything about the MPAA toward Matt Reeves’ movie. Nevertheless, he did confess the direction you see on the trailer is the right way to go.
I dunno what the rating is going to be but I felt the same way [about Batman beating that guy]. I was like what the…
I actually just texted Matt after and was like, ‘What the fu*k! This is cool!… I loved it.’
I thought it was so cool and thought it was like the right direction and everything about it. As far as just a fan of a movie, it’s the kind of movie I want to see, so I felt like [two thumbs up].zack snyder via reel in motion
Of course, this is the last few moments of the trailer when Battinson opens a tall boy of whoop ass on this juggalo and grunts, “I’m vengeance.” And who is that poor painted-face soul? Was he the roadie for a band of punks or was he one of the Court of Owls sacrificed to the Batman. We’ll soon see.
And for those who have said this trailer dominates anything Zack did with Batfleck needs to see the warehouse scene again. And again. Maybe, even again. Then, close your Twitter account. There is a reason Zack Snyder loves this direction…because it looks like something he would have done himself.
If you want to see the interview with the Reel Anarchy guys and Zack Snyder, get to the :46-minute mark, and enjoy.
